Coach Fabian Moore is a Brooklyn native whose experience in athletic performance has spread across multiple states and levels of professional athleticism. Moore has extensive coaching experience including NCAA Division I University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Adjunct Professor in Exercise Science and Physical Education at St. Augustine's University. Moore's experiences in track & field started as a collegiate sprinter, first at Garden City Community College and then from 2000-03 at St. Augustine, where he was a part of a CIAA team championship. He then served as an individual Speed Coach in Harrison, NY, before transplanting to North Carolina. In 2014, he worked as an Assistant Sprint, Hurdle & Relay Coach with the Tar Heels and the following year got his own head coaching position with Heritage High School in Wake Forest, NC. Moore then parlayed the experience to his positions at both Shaw University and Ravenscroft. He has returned to the metro area and has helped develop the College of Staten Island Dolphins' new Division II program.Â
A former athlete representing Barbados at the 1997 Pan American Games. Moore was a seven-time NYC Champion at Boys & Girls High School in Brooklyn. With this as his first coaching stop in his native area, Moore is high on the Dolphins' expectations moving forward. Moore achieved his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from St. Augustine University in 2003, and later his Master's Degree in Health Science at Long Island University in 2007.
